Bangoulap, Cameroon 2013
in partnership with the Jean-Félicien Gacha Foundation.
For our 2013 Shoe Project, the Twins for Peace team travelled to Cameroon to visit the children of Bangoulap in Feburary 2014.
Thanks to our 2013 sales, we were able to doante more than 6000 pairs of locally produced shoes to the school children of Bangoulap. We also donated shoes to the children of the employees of the Gacha Foundation, whose women help us make our Gacha collection. This year we are also able to help build a sports and recreational center for the community from the sales of our accessories.
Headmaster – Director of Bangoulap High School – “Many of my children don’t even have shoes. It gives me a sense of pride to be able to work with the Foundation and Twins for Peace, to be able to receive this gift . I can only say one thing: Thank you a million times over. Thank you.”
Edgard – Student age 17, Bangoulap high school – “We are so delighted and touched. We thank our brothers on the other side of the world who thought of us . Thank you, thank you. “
